There are so many birth control options for women these days and it has become something of a mixed blessing. As with all birth control pills, there are many risks associated with taking ortho tri cyclen. These risks include blood clots and strokes. These risks are amplified if the patient is a smoker and in her mid-30s or older. If you are a smoker in your mid-30s and taking birth-control pills, at some point your doctor will refuse to prescribe them to you for your own safety. This is something to keep in mind and may provide you with the motivation to quit smoking.

You must be a good consumer of information when watching these commercials and always discuss your birth control options with a doctor. He or she will be able to help you find the one that is right and most safe for you. Ortho tri cyclen seems to have a very good reputation but you must rely on your doctor’s advice more than anything else when choosing a birth control option or any medical or health routine.
